A five-node Proxmox cluster and a backup server, run the way I'd want production run.

  • Updates roll out one node at a time from a single button in Discord. Ansible does the work and never reboots anything without me.
  • A watcher checks new security advisories against what's actually installed, every two hours, and hands anything critical to Claude, which reads the lab and leaves me a note.
  • Living Rack, the drawing up top, is a live page I built so the whole thing can be seen breathing.
  • It runs the house too: Home Assistant, Zigbee lights and buttons, cameras, and a local voice assistant called Process Seven on two unlocked Echo Dots.

heritage handover

A white-glove photo scanning service in West Michigan. Old family photos get scanned front and back, locally, and never mailed away. Now it does VHS tapes, DVDs, slides and negatives too.

Built from scratch as a solo operation: the LLC, payments, a client portal, an admin dashboard, and a Canon scanner that does both sides at once.

A first-person sniper game in a painted apocalypse. Aliens came for Earth's iron core, we nuked them, and they answered by rewiring human sight: now the whole world looks like a living, shifting painting. You wake up in the ferns 5.5 km from base with a rifle and a radio that clears up when you face home. Every run is a fresh seeded world across six stages. Die and the run is over.

  • Paused: it was a proof of concept for learning Godot, and the painted look needs a real artist to build a better art filter.

A brand-new universe every day. Press Exhale and watch it live its whole life in a few minutes: Big Bang, first stars, galaxies, maybe life, maybe a civilization, then the long fade to heat death. Everyone gets the same universe on the same day, with a shuffled deck of cosmic events dealt into its timeline and a shareable end card.

  • Paused: I wasn't digging the direction the vibe coding was taking it, and daily sim games are already a crowded shelf. I learned a lot about the stack, though.

An idle colony sim drawn entirely in ASCII. A tiny wood-age village runs itself: villagers farm, chop trees, wear paths into the grass by walking it, and raise new buildings when they can afford them. Every few minutes the mayor prays to you, the god, for help. Close the game and the village keeps living; open it again and it catches up on everything it did while you were gone.

  • Paused while I decide on an art style. I was hoping for something closer to the old PC game Serf City (The Settlers).

A system for actually cooking at home. One Monday grocery trip, Instant-Pot-first recipes, cook every other day and freeze the extras so next week starts with a stash instead of from zero. Each week gets its own prep board: the shopping list in the store's walking order, the seven-day cook schedule, and a rotating recipe library.

  • Paused: it worked great. I just didn't commit to it.

Swing-trade analysis for entertainment (read: gambling) purposes. Before a company reported earnings, erbot hunted for cheap options contracts and asked the honest question: how big a move is this price betting on, and how often has this stock actually moved that much? It posted its finds to Discord and kept a scorecard of how its picks would have done. Retired before it could talk anyone into anything.
